Judith Wubah joined the staff of Corporate and Foundation Relations in July 2013. She brings to her position her experience of serving on panels for various federal agencies and teaching at a number of higher education institutions. She came from Virginia Tech, where she established and served as the Director of the Office of Health Professions Advising. She advised more than 890 students interested in the various fields of the health profession. Each year she prepared approximately 130 students to apply to medical, dental, physician assistant, physical therapy, and optometry professional programs.
Prior to her work at Virginia Tech, Judith was a faculty member in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, College of Medicine at University of Florida and at the Department of Biology at James Madison University. At JMU, she mentored fourteen undergraduate research students and a graduate student over a six-year period.
Judith received her PhD in Developmental Biology/Teratology from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, and a Masters in Biology from the University of Akron, OH. She holds baccalaureate degrees in Botany and Education from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. Judith and her husband have two daughters, with the youngest currently an undergraduate student at Washington and Lee University.
