WLUR station staff members have revealed their Top 10 albums lists for 2012, with Beach House and Tame Impala topping the annual charts.
General manager/program director Jeremy Franklin '04, host of "Stockholm Syndrome," and disc jockey Brett Twitty from "One Man in a Small Room" announced their lists on the air on December 12. Franklin picked Lonerism, the second LP from the Australian outfit Tame Impala, as his No. 1, while Twitty tabbed Maryland band Beach House's fourth full-length, Bloom, as his top album.
Both DJs selected Father John Misty's Fear Fun at No. 2 and Sharon Van Etten's Tramp at No. 3. Bloom also appeared on Franklin's list at No. 4.
Twin Shadow's Confess topped WLUR's Top 150 Albums chart, which was compiled based on airplay on the station throughout the year. The Black Keys, Grizzly Bear, Beach House and Dr. Dog also finished in the top five. Check out the full chart here.
