Class Agents' Training Kicks Off 2011-12 Annual Fund Campaign

Forty-five class agents returned to campus over Young Alumni Weekend for a full day of training marking the start of the 2011-12 Annual Fund campaign. While the veteran and new agents represented very different generations of W&L alumni--a span of 70 years of graduating classes--they were united in their desire to serve the University by seeking the support of their classmates for the Annual Fund.

The agents received accolades and the thanks of grateful staff members for their role in helping W&L realize the historic milestone of more than $7.4 million for last year's Annual Fund and nearly 51% participation in giving to the University by undergraduate alumni. Through presentations and discussions about their work, the agents left campus equipped and energized to help the University meet its $7.7 million goal for the 2011-12 Annual Fund. The enthusiasm, commitment and efforts of nearly 200 class agents, is critical to the success each year of the Annual Fund that supports the distinctive difference of a W&L education.
