Professor Rakshit is currently a Ph.D. candidate in economics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and expects to receive his degree in March 2012. His teaching and research interests are in the fields of international macroeconomics, monetary economics, and time series and Bayesian econometrics. Prof. Rakshit holds and M.S degree in agricultural and applied economics from Virginia Tech as well as an M.S. degree from the Indian Institute of Forest Management.
