Written Agreements for Educational Programs

Washington and Lee University's Teacher Education Program is currently operated through a written agreement with Mary Baldwin College of Staunton, Virginia. For the elementary education program, twenty-seven percent (27%) of the program is not provided by Washington and Lee; for the secondary education program, thirty percent (30%) of the program is not provided by Washington and Lee. Those courses not provided by Washington and Lee are provided by Mary Baldwin College through a combination of classroom instruction and practicum experience in the classroom. Estimated additional costs for Washington and Lee students who enroll in the Teacher Education program vary, based on the licensure exam chosen by the student, and can range from two-hundred and fifty dollars ($250) to four hundred dollars ($400).
