Reunion Giving

Honoring Important Milestones

Alumni Weekend is the time to come back and celebrate with classmates-it provides opportunities for reuniting old friends, networking, exploring new campus facilities, and reconnecting with Washington and Lee today.

In addition to coming back to campus, a great way to commemorate your reunion milestone is to participate in the class gift effort by making a contribution to the Annual Fund. Class gifts are a way that alumni express their gratitude for the education they received and reinvest in their alma mater so current and future students also will receive a great education. Volunteers from the reunion classes help raise the class gift during the months leading up to Alumni Weekend. Class gifts support the Annual Fund as well as one or a few high priorities of the University that are particularly meaningful to the 25th and 50th reunion classes. Reunion classes compete for a series of trophies, which are announced and presented in Lee Chapel over Alumni Weekend. In addition to attendance awards, W&L will recognize the class with the highest increase in giving over the previous year, the class with the largest class gift, and the class with the highest gift participation. The assembly is always a moving event, evidencing great loyalty, generosity, and support for Washington and Lee.
