President Kevin Dyer is a senior from Kensington, Maryland. He is currently pursuing a major in politics and a minor in mass communications. He plans to pursue a career in law after graduating from Washington and Lee. As Vice President, Kevin works with the President to run general assembly meetings and conduct GILS business and activities.
Vice-President Cassandra Lewis is a senior interested in attending law school. She spent her summer interning for W&L Alum Ondray Harris, Director of the Community Relations Service at the Department of Justice.
Treasurer Gabrielle Espy is a sophomore who hails from Decatur, Georgia. She plans to major in Politics and Music. As Treasurer, Gabrielle is responsible for fundraising and budget management.
Secretary Kendre Barnes is a sophomore from Omaha, Nebraska. A potential Spanish and English double major, Kendre hopes to attend law school and specialize in Child Advocacy once she begins her practice. As secretary, her roles include circulating emails to all GILS members and assisting the other officers as needed.
Speaker and Events Chair Bailey Yi is a sophomore from Canada who has taken several pre-law courses at W&L. Her role is to invite speakers and coordinate events that cater to the varied interests of GILS members. She is also a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.
Alumni Chair Laura Gronauer is a sophomore who is interested in pursuing law upon graduation. She has taken three pre-law courses at W&L. She is also a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. As Alumni Chair, she will create and maintain an alumni database and work with the Speakers and Events Chair to plan alumni speakers and events.
Technology Chair Max Chapnick is a sophomore from White Plains, New York, who is interested in attending law school. Max is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and has taken a pre-law class - INTR 180 - at W&L. Max will maintain and develop the organization's website.
