ITS (Information Technology Services)

Information Technology Services offers a variety of services, including computer classes, online books, personal assistance and access to Element K (on-line self-paced tutorial to over 400 software products).

Lenfest Center

The Lenfest Center for the Arts, home of the department of theater, music and art is a multi-use facility designed and equipped to accommodate a broad spectrum of the performing arts, including theater, musical theater, opera and operetta, choral and band music, dance and performance art in one energizing complex. Tickets are required for most Lenfest events - a reduced admission will be charged to W&L students, faculty, and staff. The Lenfest Center's Box Office follows the University's Academic Calendar and is generally open, Monday - Friday, 9-11am and 2-4pm, and 2 hours before each ticketed performance, 540-458-8000 Contact: Ashleigh Smith, x8001

Recognition Events

The University plans several events throughout the year to recognize employees. These include an annual picnic for employee and their families, a luncheon to recognize individuals who are retiring or have reached employment milestones and several events held during the holidays.  Watch campus notices and Campus Connections for specific dates.

University Libraries

Leyburn and Telford Science libraries are open for W&L community access 24 hours a day, 7 days per week during the academic year. All employees have access to the libraries, reference desks, and Special Collections of the Leyburn and Telford libraries. Employees can check out library media, including books, CDs, VHS tapes, and DVDs. Computers are available for public use; the library has several computer labs available for those with access to the Washington and Lee network. Easels are also available for check-out for departments or individuals. Laptop computers, still and video cameras may be checked out as well. The Information Desk at Leyburn Library is staffed by Access Services and Reference personnel as well as ITS computer assistants.

Warner Center - W&L Athletics

Use of the Warner Center is open to all members of the W&L community. This includes:
Locker rooms, Doremus Gymnasium, Equipment desk, Cy Twombly Pool, Handball, Racquetball, and Squash Courts, Indoor and Outdoor Tennis Courts. W&L athletic events are free and open to the public except for select NCAA tournaments. Contact: Carolyne Mayo, x8673

Live Well Wellness Program

There are a variety of options on campus to help employees make healthy choices.  From Weight Watchers, to the Outing Club, intramurals, speakers, and the Wellness Fair, there are options for everyone.  Incentives are available for those who reach their participation goals.  The 2011 incentive is a 'premium holiday' (a month of University paid health insurance);  the 2012 incentive will be $50 monthly discount for meeting participation goals.  Contact Human Resources, x8920
