The Washington and Lee University Fact Book began as an official volume of the University's Self-Study submitted to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges in March 1978. Today, the document has evolved into an annual publication intended for University decision-makers of all levels and, as a result, is constantly changing to meet the informational needs of the campus community. Fact Book data highlight and/or detail critical enrollment, demographic, employment, retention, and graduation trends, among other indicators, over both the short and long terms. Each publication is intended for the exclusive use of Washington & Lee University staff and may not be shared, copied, or reproduced outside of those constraints without the expressed permission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness or the Offices of the President or Provost.
