Memorial Service for Emeritus Professor James Donaghy Scheduled for Jan. 7 in Lee Chapel

Lexington, VA -- January 2, 2008 • The Service in Memory and Celebration of longtime physics professor Dr. Jim Donaghy, who passed away on Dec. 4 after a short illness, will be Monday, Jan. 7, at 12 p.m. in Lee Chapel. Burial was in Jacksonville, Florida, on Dec. 10.

W&L Law Professor Consults in Largest Stock Options Backdating Case

Lexington, VA -- December 7, 2007 • Lyman Johnson, Robert O. Bentley Professor of Law at the Washington and Lee University School of Law, served as an advisor in the nation's largest stock options backdating case, settled Thursday, December 6, 2007. The resolution led to a record $620 million repayment by UnitedHealth Group CEO William McGuire to settle several shareholder lawsuits.
