With support from W&L's Lee Scholar's program, students Anurag Chandra and Noah Egorin (both, class of '98) have been investigating Steinhaus graphs and parallel computing. Information about their work is available at the W&L Steinhaus Research Website.
With support from the National Science Foundation's REU program, Edward Clarkson '00, John Thrall '98, and Colin Wynne '94 have developed a computer program called "Complex Plot" that will plot images of annuli and rectangles under holomorphic functions. Moreover, it will plot images of Koenigs eigenfunctions and Valiron eigenfunctions as well as images of two other types of intertwining maps. For further information visit the Complex Plot Homepage.
With support from the National Science Foundation's REU program, Jill Herman (W&L class of '98) has developed a Mathematica package "NCF.m" containing routines for computation of the Nevanlinna counting function. Documentation for the package (in LaTeX) is also available.
With support from the National Science Foundation's REU program, Tina Harbilas (W&L class of '03) has developed Maple routines NumericalRange.mws for computing numerical ranges of square matrices.
